If you’d like to set up a form that lets users access a downloadable document (like a brochure, guide, or report), follow these steps.
Steps to Create a Gated Download Form
In your website editor, go to Pages and open or create the page where you want the form to appear.
You can also duplicate an existing page if you prefer.
Drag and drop the Form Widget from the left-hand Widgets menu onto your page.
Left-click the form and edit the fields as needed.
Under the Submission tab:
Select New Submission Notification and enter your email address to receive form entries.
Still under the Submission tab, go to Actions After Submission → Redirect Settings.
Here you can choose to:Redirect users to a thank you page with a message and a button to download the document, OR
Redirect users directly to the document by pasting the file URL in the Web Address field.
For tracking in Google Analytics, it’s best to redirect to a thank you page, as Analytics does not track form submissions directly.
To upload your document:
Go to Content → Media Manager.
Upload your file.
Click the uploaded file, then click its name on the right panel to open it in a new tab.
Copy the document’s full URL from your browser and use it in the form redirect settings.
Form submissions are stored under SEO & Settings → Manage Form Responses.
