Get More SEO Management Power with These Updates

We’ve recently made several improvements to our SEO in the platform. Together, these give you more control and a boost in productivity when optimizing your client sites for search engines.

General SEO notifications for the site pages that matter

We’ll now show you general site SEO notifications to alert you about possible issues you should check in your indexed site pages. Clicking these notifications will take you to the SEO Overview screen where you’ll get a summary of your site’s SEO state overall, with the option to fix various immediately.

Better control over the SEO settings clients can (and can’t) edit

We added a new client permission (in addition to the SEO Configuration client permission), to help you limit clients’ access in making SEO changes. For SEO, we now have the following client permissions:

SEO Overview - This new permission gives clients view-only access to the SEO Overview screen where you get to see a snapshot of your site’s current SEO state (see the SEO Overview recap below if you need a refresher). Clients with this permission will not be able to fix or take action for any issues that the screen will show - unless they also happen to have the permission below enabled.
SEO Configuration - This existing permission gives clients full SEO settings management access, meaning clients can make any change to the site’s SEO settings including meta tags, alt text, index/no index, URL redirects, and more.

SEO Overview - your site’s SEO snapshot & action items list

Just to recap this productivity-boosting SEO audit tool integrated right into your site’s SEO settings, the SEO Overview shows you a summary of your site's optimization state and lets you fix issues right then and there to improve its ranking in search results.

From pages with missing meta tags and images without alt text to Open Graph and favicon recommendations, the SEO Overview is your very own optimization guide, showing you what else you can do to follow SEO best practices.
